Keep Smyrna Beautiful Recognized by Keep Georgia Beautiful as One of the Best

KSB Georgia award event

Keep Smyrna Beautiful (KSB) has once again been recognized by the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation as one of the best in the state.

Winning first place in the population category of 50,001 to 75,000, KSB was applauded for their Community Garden project, annual Garden Tour, Recycling Center, Native Arboretum, Fresh Market (Farmers Market), Adopt-A-Mile, and so much more.

Ten board members plus the City Administrator, Assistant City Administrator, and Councilman Derek Norton attended the awards luncheon which was held on November 30 at the Marriott Century Center.

Former KSB Director, Ann Kirk, was unable to attend the awards luncheon so the KSB Board made sure she was represented by bringing along a “Flat Ann” (center of photo).

About Strategic Vision Plan

Smyrna's Strategic Vision Plan represents the goals and values of the community. It lays out specific initiatives as well as broad goals that the city should work toward. The original 2014 plan identified 52 initiatives to pursue over 10 years. The city's vision plan has been further updated by the Comprehensive Plan adopted in October 2017 which lays out a 25-year vision.
